An inaugural solo exhibition curated by The Boring Nation as part of The Artist Launchpad, this touring show marks KELLYHOSY's formal introduction to the contemporary art scene.
The Drama Produce-rs is a theatrical stage where food steps up as the protagonists: unhinged optimists finding joy, humour and a little wonder in everyday city life. The Chinese title, 果然有戲, is in on the joke: it means “as expected, there’s a show”, and 果 means fruit. Together, they’re the HOSY & Co. gang.
A small, sweet rebellion against taking life too seriously, starring the food you thought you knew.
Goodbye Tokyo, Next Stop: Homecoming
Now the whole gang is going home. From 16th October to 29th November, HOSY & Co. spread out across Kuala Lumpur for The Makan Season — one show, three stages, over 6 weeks.
There's a question that opens every conversation in Malaysia, and it isn't about the weather, it’s “Sudah Makan ah? (食饱未呀?)” Makan is Malay for "eat" — but here it's more than a verb. It's the invitation, the greeting, the whole plan: jom makan, let's eat.

Sour Notes 🍋 — the very first piece that truly opened doors for KELLYHOSY's artistic journey — has been selected for NAFAS Festival Tokyo, presented by The Invisible Dog (New York City) and BUoY Arts Center (Tokyo). Bringing together 60 international artists, the festival features 12 events, performances, workshops, and residencies centered around one theme: The meeting of art and food.

In July, HOSY & Co. took over a street-facing Schaufenster at Kalckreuthstraße 4, Berlin — the characters stepping from canvas onto glass, publicly viewable from the pavement. Berlin also unveiled the newest member of the cast: Meltdown Sundae 🍌, first revealed only through a peephole on site.

It began in Hong Kong, at Tiny Space Gallery — the humble corner store turned theatrical stage, where the full cast of The Drama Produce-rs (果然有戲) took their first bow, March 27 to May 3, 2026. Hong Kong introduced Creamy & Peachy 🌽 to the HOSY & Co. gang — and the audience left their mark too, drawing on plastic fruits and veggies that became artefacts of the exhibition, travelling with the show ever since.

About
Malaysian-born, Hong Kong-based artist KELLYHOSY paints food as a cast of unhinged optimists finding joy, humour and a little wonder in everyday city life. She works in acrylic and spray paint on canvas, pairing pop art's bold edges with a naive, unhurried hand turned up to psychedelic. Every face carries a micro-expression borrowed from an everyday idiom: a glossy pink pout, a sly side-eye, a tear-drip eye that somehow still looks on the bright side. Her philosophy is simple:
"When life gives you lemons, I make art."
As the inaugural artist of The Boring Artist Launchpad by The Boring Nation, KELLYHOSY took HOSY & Co. on her debut solo exhibition tour in 2026: Tiny Space Gallery in Hong Kong, a street-facing Schaufenster window with Culterim Spaces in Berlin, then NAFAS Festival Tokyo, co-presented by The Invisible Dog (New York) and BUoY Arts Center, where her painting Sour Notes was selected. Now the gang comes home for The Makan Season, one show, three stages across Kuala Lumpur, 16 Oct – 29 Nov 2026.
出生於馬來西亞、現居香港的藝術家 KELLYHOSY，把食物畫成一班「瘋癲樂天派」（unhinged optimists），在平凡的都市生活中尋找著純粹的快樂、幽默與小確幸。她以畫布上的壓克力顏料和噴漆為媒材，將普普藝術的大膽邊界與純真、從容的筆觸結合，並將其放大至充滿迷幻感的境界。每張臉的微表情，都藏着一句日常俗語：粉紅嘟嘟嘴、鬼馬的斜眼，還有一雙明明掛著淚珠卻依然樂觀看世界的眼睛。她的創作哲學很簡單：
「當生活給你酸檸檬時，我就拿來搞藝術。」
作為 The Boring Nation「藝術家培育計劃」（The Boring Artist Launchpad）首位藝術家，KELLYHOSY 於 2026 年帶着 HOSY & Co. 展開首次個展巡迴：由香港 Tiny Space Gallery 出發，到柏林與 Culterim Spaces 合作的臨街櫥窗（Schaufenster），再到 The Invisible Dog（紐約）與 BUoY Arts Center 聯合呈獻的 NAFAS Festival Tokyo，她的畫作《Sour Notes》在此獲選參展。如今這班角色回鄉，在吉隆坡展開 The Makan Season——一場展覽，三個舞台，2026 年 10 月 16 日至 11 月 29 日。
